Knife Steel Composition Chart ver. 3.90 for Android

After long break, or long development and testing cycle, new version is up. A lot of new features, and bunch of bugfixes too. Highlights include, Bookmarks system, you can bookmarks alloys as you need, and view bookmarks in a dedicated view, also you can export and import bookmarks from the app, if you need to share or migrate them. Quick search is now at the top of the steel browser, allowing for, you guessed it, quick searches :) Removed menu system, replaced with toolbars. It's faster from the usability point of view, but I'd be lazy to do it just for that, but I got more than one complaint and one 2 star rating because user couldn't figure out how to preform search(!) I thougt all Anndroid users knew about the menu button, but apparently I was wrong. There are a lot more features and fixes, check the changelog on zvisoft.com for details. Enjoy.

Tojiro F-809 DP 240mm Gyuto

One of the knives we gave as a gift to our friend, to introduce him to Japanese kitchen knives. I was happy to have anew knife for testing and reviewing, me and my friends were happy to pick a worthy present and recipient was happy to get the knife he wanted. Everyone was happy in the end, including the dealer I suppose :) Anyhow, good knife, solid build, solid performance. I have no clue why would Tojiro conceal Takefu VG-10 steel used in this knife under obscure DP name, but that's how it was for a while. Details in the review.

2013 Tesla Model S

My biggest toy in recent years, if not ever :) And it is my first EV to boot. Very geeky car IMHO and I love pretty much everything about it. Smooth ride, tons of gadgets, huge touch screen, very high acceleration and regenerative breaking which is far more important and convenient that it might seem just by reading the description, I can drive that car using one pedal 98% of the time. No more gas station visits either. What can I say, truly 21st century car and I'm glad I have it.

Two more days before a new toy arrives

Well, I'll post an update once I have it :)

Got multiple user requests to add alloying element effects to the app. I've added that feature to the Android app about a month ago, and finally made it for the ios version as well. Same deal, in detail view and graph view tap on the elements toolbar item and then, in the popup list tap in the info icon, it'll display alloying element effects.

Maintenance release. Main highlight being a crash fix, when in the Recently Viewed list mode which seems to be popular, database update can change alloy name in the list. That'd cause a crash, which I've fixed in this release. Few minor fixes as well, such as adding missing element names and molar masses. Enjoy.

Lots of UI improvements, or so I think. Fixed a crash which was caused by incorrect db data, reported by few users last week. Other improvements and optimizations. Selecting identical listing no longer results in database refresh, current values are always highlighted in the listing windows and so on. New feature inspired by cutlerylovers review, added alloying elements effects to the app detail and graph views and included the same info in the help file, although from what I gather based on last 3 years of published app experience, nobody reads help, even on the complex app like this...

What do you know... Apple reviewed the app in 3 days. Well, app is out, with several important fixes including synchronization, missing compositions, etc.

Submitted the app today. I suppose their holiness apple app review council will approve it in a week or two.
